Great Pond - York, ME Fishing Report on 30th Mar, 2023

Hey there, it's me, your guide Jason Cyr of Wilderness Adventures Outfitters & Guide Service, reporting on our latest fishing excursion in Great Pond, Belgrade Lakes.

We targeted crappie and northern pike, and let me tell you, the pike fishing was excellent! Our clients had great success using live bait and a variety of lures. We found the pike in shallow water near weed beds and drop-offs, as well as in deeper water near points and structure.

However, the crappie fishing was only average for the month of March. We still managed to catch some, but it took a bit more effort and patience. We found them in deeper water near submerged structure and using jigs and small minnows as bait.

Overall, it was a great day out on the water and we had a lot of fun. If you're looking to catch some big northern pike, Great Pond in Belgrade Lakes is the place to be right now!
